Feb. 27th, 2003 11:54 pmDear Advice Person,
I'm married to someone who squeals at random intervals and announced, "My friend! I've found my friend!"
Sometimes he just squeaks and points.
His friend is a box elder beetle.
Mind you, we have NO box elder trees near the house.
This beetle (or various generations) wanders around the house. I'm pretty sure I've heard boy refer to it as "my precious" when I'm not around.
Should I be worried?
Signed,
Not Jealous of a Bug

Date: 2003-02-28 11:44 am (UTC)Having a pet beetle is a perfectly proper thing to do -- as is eating artichokes with one's fingwers!
It is splendid to entertain, as long as the beetle is being a nice house guest; which is to say, no beetles in the bedroom.
