Sadly, the weather is going to keep boy and me home tonight.

Normally, I wouldn't allow this to stop me. The weather isn't much--a bit of a wintry mix. The worst of the storm actually seems to be bypassing us. However, the roads will still be sucky because we live south of the Mason-Dixon line. When one has to drive approximately 15 miles of scenic byway (read: curvy road) on the way home, a 20 minute trip turns into 40 minutes with precipitation, one hour with ice or snow.

So, I'm staying home tonight not because I'm a wimp, but because the local transportation authorities, while better than those of northern Virginia, still suck broken light bulbs.

I'm really bummed. I wanted to try to get

nothingoth to play "Smell like cartoon planet" for the last song.

And I'm upset because the damn snow is BYPASSING me. I WANT SNOW. have I not sacrificed enough goats? Do I need to start slaughtering cow puppies? I WANT WINTER.
