(no subject)

boy has done lots of dishes... i've put together a split pea and lentil soup, which is simmering, and spelt-bulgur bread, which is in the machine.

i just cleaned the bathroom sink. the tub and commode I cleaned yesterday. i just need to put away random clothes items and clean the floor and that room is done. i still have medical forms scattered across the guest room, but rat_bastard will just have to step over them. i need to put clean sheets on the bed, in case he's staying the night.

still need to shower, as does boy. i'm cleaning the kitchen table off and then starting on the spice cabinet. apparently, our mice can jump a lot higher than we realized and they managed to get inside. fortunately, everything is tightly sealed.... but still. *sigh*

we're listening to a FNM bootleg... i think it's a live concert. yumminess. twilight_spirit, if this is from you, thanks!!!

maybe i should remove this old nail polish before cleaning more, that way the stuff's godawful scent will be washed away.

By the way, I don't know if boy is aware of this, but I happened to read that Mr. Patton sang on an EP for Dillinger Escape Plan, which even includes a cover of Come to Daddy. Just thought I'd spread the dis ... er, pass that along. }:)

Yeah, we knew about that... See, though, I *despise* Dillinger Escape Plan. Of course, a lot of that dislike stems from their vocalist, who sucks syphilitic goat testes.

Even with our Patton-philia, I might not be able to convince myself to buy that CD. Then again, I have a coupon for Plan 9...

Buy? I always listen first before I buy. :) Anyway, according to allmusic.com, the DEP vocalist is done, fine, as in like, *gone* ... which is the underlying reason why Patton stepped up to the plate for this EP.

Between work and local concerts, I think I'm looking at a mid-March journey south of the Mason-Dixon. I have a major system upgrade here on the 8th which is a Saturday, so assuming everything proceeds smoothly and I can break away, I should be able to come down the following weekend ... probably on Thursday. If not, I'll just push it back one more week until I have things humming along up here.
