and Mary Jane Lamond's video for Charles Street Reel (Mo Ghille Mór Foghain'each) came on, though i missed the intro tag (had to catch it at the end).
it's not often that i fail to even *recognize* a language being sung.

She's from Cape Breton. I really liked the song. I'll have to keep an eye out for her.

And I remember Ashley MacIsaak ... he had a new record back in '96 when I started working at the record store, called something like 'Hello, how are you?'. I remember because we had a gazillion copies like the label was trying to push it real hard, but it flopped. Rather miserably. I wonder if it's even still in print? :(
