the 59-minute rule is in effect for government employees before.

boy and i are giggling about this.

if you leave 59 minutes and 30 seconds early, you're in trouble and must take leave.

it means that government employees can leave *up to* 59 minutes early and not get docked vacation time.

boy works for a government contractor, so this also applies to him, since the government is paying his salary. ;)

I think I get it.

technically, 4:01, as he doesn't take an hour for lunch. he also works at home. and since he's working on concept design, etc, we could theoretically hop in the car at any time and just hand him his book and notepad. ;)

[palmforehead] Duh, 4:01 was what I meant. (Bear of very little brain, was I yesterday)

Cool that he gets to work at home. I'm hoping when [livejournal.com profile] 98 finds a new job, he will be able to work from home at least part of the time.
