i find it very neat that brindle and wheaten scotties have color variations along individual strands of hair.
neil is wheaten. in that pic, you can see his mottled blotches of skin showing through (his hair is cut short now). his hair is almost gold along his back, with white patches and shiny bits here and there. it seems to shimmer, because of the color variation along the strands. he's also much smellier than bailey (muskier).
bailey is pure black. he has little silver/clear strands here and there. bailey seems kinda stinky for a dog, but maybe boy dogs are stinkier than females (our previous dogs have all been female).
yes, both dogs are rescues.
my parents love their boys. the boys make
