Oct. 27th, 2002 04:47 pmwell, all the screens (except bathroom) are out. windows are brushed from the outside. now i start the task of wiping down the sills, which is much more labor-intensive and disgusting than i thought.
the kitchen windows are mostly done, then i have bedroom (one), office (three), laundry room (one), family room (two).
the bathroom window is too close to the huge-ass spider of doom, so i'll wait til colder weather takes her away. and the middle room has an AC unit, so i don't have to deal with the window. the family room has one really nasty bug-carcass-filled sill that might wait til colder weather sets in.
it's gorgeous outside--cool and sunny. the birds are harvesting ants and the deer occasionally sneak into the yard when they think we're gone. :)
off to switch myleather gloves for vinyl and get back to work.

Date: 2002-10-27 02:17 pm (UTC)the stuff was caked on. i swept most of the loose stuff out beforehand, but the gunk was a few years' worth of bug carcasses and dirt (mud). i don't the previous tenants ever did the windows. they probably didn't touch them once the new ones were put in, except to break the damn screens in a million places.
