walking into the bed room from the music room. gone are the bins, laundry baskets full of hangers, suitcases, etc. i put the bedroom curtains up (there were blue, lightweight cotton curtains), finally. i'm not sure the rod will hold. i need to borrow a drill so i can put up the heavy rod. the curtains are heavy cotton panels from ikea. out of the corner of the camera's eye, you can see my old tv. it's the tv that lived in my bedroom as a kid. has a UHF dial. we keep it in a spare room (sometimes the bedroom, sometimes not), hooked up to cable or satellite and use it to tape shows (while the other tv/vcr are in use) or to entertain chilren who visit. we rarely watch tv in bed. we sometimes use this one for the CD-music channels on the minidish, though. the picture isn't so hot anymore, so it's not much fun for adults to watch. it can handle cartoons, but not flesh tones, etc.

our bed, my dresser. you can see the afghans my grandma made on the bed. those are now our his/her blankies. ;) and the summer comforter is still on the bed. soon, the brown/black/gold winter comforter will come out.

my side of the bed, from the bathroom. normally, the floor isn't visible. it's normally piled with blankets and pillows. those are all put away.

looking through from the bathroom door to the music room door. dresser with the tv now cleared off (previously home to a box of hats). once again, we have a FLOOR!. i'm standing where a dresser, suitcase, and giant pile of clothes once lived.

and now we rest. we're watching Lexx, season 2, episode 19 (i think)--Brigadoom.
