Ouch.

My hip aches. It's been bothering me for awhile, so I asked Dr. FixIt about it today. He ruled out arthritis and then told me it was a "spot of great suffering" and recommended injections. I trust him (he's usually not the type to leap to invasive things).

Basically, dextrose/glucose + lidocaine into the connective tissue near my hip. Kill off some nerve endings and encourage connective tissue to grow into place so that it stabilizes my hip and prevents laxity/nerve pain. And treating the worse (left) hip might help my body align properly so that my right hip is no longer painful, either.

We'll see.

It aches. But the ache is no worse than my normal fibro pain, just in a location where I don't normally have that kind of ache. I can deal. Heck, some of my daily pain sites are far worse than this.

Off to walk to the corner. My orders are to keep the injection site clean and dry, but that any clean and dry activity is fine. So no mud pies, but miles of walking is A-OK.
