busy day

I walked from home to the Starbucks on the Corner today. I stopped in Cabell hall and practically took a sponge bath in the sink. It felt good until the ambient air, combined with my body heat, made the cold water just feel like more sweat. I packed a couple wet towels in my messenger bag and trudged on to the 'bucks.

I ordered my normal latté in a for-here cup and got a glass of ice water. Since I looked more like a lobster, the shift supervisor recommended I crash out on a couch upstairs beneath the vent. I opted for a leather couch *not* under a vent. By the time I finished my warm drink, I was chilled. Never a good sign, so I just sipped my water slowly and read while I waited for [livejournal.com profile] nothingoth.

By the time the Chad arrived, I felt good, so we chatted for a bit before braving the heat.

Flyering was accomplished, around campus, the Corner, and downtown. I was bad and bought the new Peeping Tom album, along with the 5" split vinyl by Fantômas with Melt Banana. I don't even have a turntable anymore--mine died a horrible death and I have yet to replace it. *sigh* My vinyl collection is languishing in a non-dusty cabinet.

Tea with [livejournal.com profile] krues8dr and [livejournal.com profile] nothingoth. Chatting, glee, happiness.

Shopping with the Chad. Picked up [livejournal.com profile] alephein and brought her back to watch Delicatessen with my gorgeous poodle. Popcorn was eaten. The ball and snortie were tossed countless times. The poodle pounced just as many times. [livejournal.com profile] explodingcat came home and got nekkid in the shower. He got dressed before socializing.

And I'm awake, hungry but not, and my hip sockets are threatening to pop out and leave.

I think I'll read a bit more.

Salad time!
