There's auroral activity again tonight.

And there are reports from my actual area, but outside of town.

In order to see it well, I need to leave town to get away from the light pollution, but I was out late last night, didn't sleep well, and got up early today.

While I *could* go out tonight, driving myself would absolutely mean being housebound for the next few days. I'm already feeling unwell, so I need to conserve my energy and not bring on a more severe crash or flare.

So I'll stay home and mope.
I live near a few fairly major highways: US 29, I-64, and I-81. I-64 intersects both of them. This doesn't account for other major highways in my area, as those three are the major flight pathways, but we do also have US 33, US 250, US 11, US 340, and others nearby.

Anyhow, because of I-81 and I-64 and I-64 and US 29, we often have large X intersections of jet-trails in our sky, to the South and Southwest of town.

Today, we have that high-level cloudy ice crystalline stuff up in the sky, so there are all sorts of halos and a couple brilliant sun dogs. I really wish I had a camera that could take good sky pics, because the sundogs were incredibly bright a little while ago, while I was driving. Surrounding them and the sun were a good dozen X's. It was nifty.

Just now, I looked up while walking inside and saw a brilliant circumzenithal arc.
