Jan. 17th, 2004 12:40 pmdone a couple loads of laundry, got the car (thanks,
nothingoth, visited Rebecca's Natural Food (ooh la oolong peach honest tea, sesame seed sprouted wheat bagels for boy, vegetable rice spiral pasta for both of us), then met up with the guys at the Pit Stop, where they were awaiting their BBQ sammiches. my hair now smells of hickory smoke. yum.
Jinx tried really hard to feed me. i explained that i was vegetarian and he said the soup should be fine, so i asked about soy... when i got to broth he said, "oh, i just use a beef bone." Ahhh, true Southern vegetarian fare--"just one beef bone" or "just one cube of bouillon". ;)
anyhow, boy is resting to Venus Hum. soon, we shall call
solieri and see about picking him up and then, hopefully, trying to help
nothingoth load *his* car, but i don't know if boy's well enough. his blood sugar is wonky.
i have some quorn nuggets in the toaster oven. should eat them.
oh, the car? the hose that connects the reservoir to the pump had fallen loose. they reattached it and clamped it on. 13 bucks. why couldn't i do this myself, you ask?
well, it's been cold out. my hands get very stiff in the cold. my fingers are already numb from neuropathy. my skin tears like paper and bruises fairly easily. the area where this all is located is tight and most easily accessed from beneath the car. i live on a busy street. i'm perfectly content to pay someone else to fix that. if my dad lived nearby, i'd let him do it and pay him in bread or beans. actually, it's winter, so i wouldn't let him do it. he'd grumble, but he's got to watch his heart, dammit.

Are they getting airplay where *you* live?
Is WNRN just special? Do we just get the cool stuff and you all have to live with ClearChannel monotony?
