this is what god wears

and then lovely bed. wonderful bed.

go ahead. you want to click that link.

boy is still laughing his ass off.

despite my aching butt, it's time for a marathon cleaning spree.

bathroom
kitchen
yard (tom's mowing)
windows (get rid of bugs and spider egg sacs)
bedroom (pick up fabric scraps, put away pattern board, wash sheets)

three hours to do this. i'll post a ny updates if i need to sit and rest (i will).

ready, set, go!
^
well, all the screens (except bathroom) are out. windows are brushed from the outside. now i start the task of wiping down the sills, which is much more labor-intensive and disgusting than i thought.

the kitchen windows are mostly done, then i have bedroom (one), office (three), laundry room (one), family room (two).

the bathroom window is too close to the huge-ass spider of doom, so i'll wait til colder weather takes her away. and the middle room has an AC unit, so i don't have to deal with the window. the family room has one really nasty bug-carcass-filled sill that might wait til colder weather sets in.

it's gorgeous outside--cool and sunny. the birds are harvesting ants and the deer occasionally sneak into the yard when they think we're gone. :)

off to switch myleather gloves for vinyl and get back to work.
windows done. except for bathroom window and one living room window (not the nasty one, either).

now i need to put the screens in. i wanted to wash them, but with water restrictions, i shouldn't use the hose (not that anyone would *SEE* way out here) and i'm not about to wash them by hand. that would be far more time and effort than they are worth. i can brush off the worst of the webs.

i didn't wash most of the upper window sashes... i can't reach them all and i definitely can't reach the outside of 'em, even with the flip-in style windows. and i didn't want to wrestle with a step-stool b/c this is harder work than i thought and that would just add to things. so... i'll wait til boy's done with the yard, then enlist his help with the screens. i have all the windows open to air out the house, since pollen is fairly low right now.

oh, i didn't do the attic window. i don't feel like climbing the stairs with my sore butt.

so... a couple hours to tackle the bathroom (easy) and the kitchen (not so easy).

here i go.

tomorrow, if i haven't crashed, someone should remind me to clean the front room top to bottom.

i want to eliminate ANY crumbs that mouse keeps finding. i'm also going to mop all the floors before tuesday, i hope. that's not as likely, but who knows...
i have a very ripe mango i want to eat.

i've never bought a whole mango before.

but i've heard the skin can make one break out.

since fruits that don't make normal people break out DO make me break out, what do i do?

i can let boy do this, but he is susceptible to poison ivy. should i find some gloves for him? peel it, then cut it?

help me! :D
