i just pulled a tick off of me. she wasn't embedded when i knocked her into a glass, but i do have a tiny red spot. *sigh* it was a dog tick, so i'm not worried about lyme, i'll just keep an eye out for anything suspicious.

has anyone tried the ultrasonic pest repellers? i know sunbeam makes them. i just don't know how effective they are and i wonder if they're likely to drive ME nuts.

i can't handle some ultrasonic or subsonic frequencies well. they make me sick to my tummy, give me raging migraines, or upset my moods. i don't know if i should risk it or not, but we just have so many bugs in the house this summer.

so, i made those cheese crackers again.

this time, i added about a tablespoon of parmesan and about a quarter teaspoon each of onion and garlic granules. then i topped some of the crackers with kalonji seeds and some with cumin seed, in addition to the coarse salt.

YUM. good results, of course.
