i should be in bed...

so... long time no write. i shall start now, leaving out most of the bits where i rested for a few hours at a stretch.

i spent thursday on the couch, after sleeping 14 hours or so. i got off the couch around 4 and took a shower so that i'd be ready for K around 4:30 or 5. we went to staples to check out some prices, then he took me to whole foods and taco bell. yum. i bought some earache drops at whole foods and then got yummy food at taco bell. we talked about his plans for the future and then he took me home.

a few minutes after i got home, my friend L and her daughter R arrived. i tossed a ton of stuff in a bag (was spending night and next day with her, then going to another friend's house). we stayed up too late and had to get up for her and her daughter's appointments the next day.

so, friday, we got up and stumbled to the appointments, then ran some errands. we had dinner at my favorite lebanese (now syrian, as it was bought) restaurant. i picked up some essential costume elements (orange tights, bright knee-high stockings, blue and pink eyeshadow). later, L dropped me off at a friend's house.

at that friend's house, we got ready for the party we were attending that night. our costume--russian punk girls of the sort we saw when we were in moscow. this involved some odd accessories (contrasting stockings OVER tights and under fishnets, matching hair ties with friend's outfits and vice versa, and decidedly UNpunk music).

fortunately, we couldn't find a mariah carey tape. we settled for some 80s music, some hair metal, and some james brown.

we went to the party with our escort, the soccer hooligan.

it was fun. i saw several friends... and i ended up crashing at the party site (with boy, he was also there). woke up the next day, got a ride home, then bummed around until S arrived. she and boy set up his new music toy and played with it to get it configured properly.

i ICQ'd artie and convinced her to come over and go out with us. a bunch of boy's friends from HS were in town, so we went to the brickskeller and met them, along with some other DC folks.

we were all in very high spirits and had lots of fun, though artie and i wanted to smush some port wine cheese into someone's crotch.

i'm not sure why.

i think i'll leave that subject now.

i slept in today. boy came to awaken me to see if i wanted to go see a movie or sleep. i looked at the clock and informed him there'd be no more sleep or a movie b/c we needed to go to whole foods before the bus stopped running. so we went for food and an audio cable (mall) and then came home and watched iron chef.

i made supper and his daily lunch salad.

now i'm vegetating.

and that was my lovely weekend.

i'm tired.

i think i'll go catch up on my dreamtime.

awww, yeah.

I probably work in computers, or a history
deptartment at a college. I never really

oky, my records have STILL NOT BEEN FAXED.

i am sick of this. i had tom re-fax my request and will have him do so twice a day until my records are sent. if needs be, i'll call the administrator direct and ask her who i can call or write to register a formal complaint about the reception staff. i've been lied to, led around, and have NOT received the service a patient at georgetown medical center is entitled to.

i also think it's insane that i cannot make an appointment with the georgetown pain clinic before my records are faxed. i have a referral. that should suffice. i can tell them EXACTLY what my doctor, the podiatrist, and the neurologist said, did, and decided. i can tell them how long the pain has lasted and describe it far better than anyone like my doctor, who isn't exactly experiencing this pain.

gah.

i'm ready to explode and i just woke up. this isn't good for me.
