I don't feel like I'm in the boonies, but here in Williamsburg, VA, I can't get a connection faster than 24k. I'm so spoiled. I can remember when 2.4k was *fast*. And, though I suffer a 56k connection at home, I often yearn for the days of the T3 back in school.
Anyhow, I'm here with my in-laws. I'm really tired. A good friend stayed over at our place last night. Since I'd taken an afternoon nap, I didn't crash at midnight. We went to sleep around 6am. My inlaws were due to arrive after noon. So I rolled out of bed, screamed and grunted a bit, and then wandered out to the living room to wake up the friend and turn on the stereo.
Voltaire greatly improved my mood. :)
I'll go to bed soon. I've been awake nearly 12 hours, so I'm due for a nap or a coma.
Dinner was SO yummy tonight. Good Italian food always makes me happy. I had basil and tomato penne with vodka sauce and broccoli. I ordered a side of spinach in olive oil and garlic. YUM. I shared the green stuff with boy, which made him happy.
I did break out in hives, but I'm going to blame the bread/butter. The guy said it was butter, but it could've had soy in it (natural flavors, etc). He was a good waiter and was really worried when I suddenly started asking detailed questions. I assured him that I wasn't going to die, but that I just needed to figure out what I was reacting to. I didn't figure it out. I'm going to blame possible latex gloves or someone's peanut butter sandwich.
Allergies suck.
Anyhow, I'm going to finish watching Gojira VS Kingugidora now. This rocks. :)
