we went to the BR again today. this time, we actually found the proper trailhead and managed to hike down to the white rock falls. of course, after staying on the trail and descending a very steep and rocky path into a woodland gorge, i realized we'd gone well past the turnoff for the falls. thus started the loooong climb back. it was worth it. a tiny little woodland stream had a tiny little sluice-like fall with a clear pool at the base. i hope my pictures will turn out.

mmm, just had a bowl of chili. i should go get the potatoes out of the oven before they overcook.

mmmm, so tired.

I wish the mountains and beach in NC were closer together. I love them both so much. I am about five hours from the mountains any way you look at it. Poo.
