i'm a corrupting influence. and i'm easy. for some reason, this is seen as a *good* thing.

midori and sour apple pucker and sprite are tasty, but i need to buy some more lemons and limes so i can make sour mix.

our hummingbirds are QUITE happy with the new hummzinger feeder. they're even more thrilled that i actually filled it.

i need to take a shower to wash pollen down the drain.

i should be in bed if i want to even try to hike later today.

when i wear makeup, it's not out of societal obligation, it's because i enjoy wearing it. the mere act of applying makeup is a ritual meditation for me. i've been known to put on elaborate makeup as a way to settle my mind and ground myself, then remove it all before leaving the house. i've been known to get up and leave the house without so much as running a brush through my hair (though i always brush my teeth), much less bother with lipstick and eyeliner.

that said, there's something to be said for UD plague eyeshadow (think peacock plumage) and cat's eye black eyeliner. i should have taken pictures saturday night.

i hope the pictures we took while hiking on sunday turn out well. the film sat in the car for a few hot days. eep.

venus was very bright tonight. she's turning into my favorite bright sky object, as she does every autumn.

this bite on my arm is getting bigger. i guess the antihistamines aren't as effective as i'd hope. damn my immune system for being allergic to diphenhydramine--chlorephineramine maleate doesn't always work on the skin stuff so well.

explodingcat is feeling amazingly better. it seems he's turned a corner or uncovered a big ol' mossy rock. this is good.

as much as i'm loving the local land, i miss indiana.

i need to find a friend with a scanner sometime soon. or go to indiana and get mine.

boy and i have been singing along to the Tenacious D album. a lot. a capella, while hiking in cloudy mountains.

i like searching for mucky muck.

it's time to sleep.

maybe a large glass of water is in order.

If you're missing Indiana taking a trip back to visit and pick up the scanner might not be a bad idea.

I've gotten the idea a few times, perhaps wrongly, that we live fairly close to one another. We'll have to discuss that further at some point. :)

i think the next chance i'll get to go to indiana will be yule... unless my parents decide to travel south (fla).

i live in central VA. we moved down here in april from the MD suburbs of DC. boy is from langhorne, PA, but his parents recently moved to mt. laurel, NJ. we're up there fairly frequently.
