i had lunch with someone i've known of online for quite a few years (a fellow wombat). she was fun and interesting, so i'm glad work let up enough to let her out for lunch. we ran into my friends xiane and her boy stu. :)

last night, i made khatchapuri. it's one of my favorite foods, but i rarely make it. last night, however, i discovered that the bread machine could be my friend. ;)

khatchapuri is a georgian food... you start with a good dough, form it into an oval, fill with cheese/butter mixture (i use dry farmer's cheese, suluguni--a traditional cheese to use, and butter). then you bring up the edges of the oval to lay just over the cheese and pinch the ends together, making a boat. :) then bake.

boy was quite happy. next time, i might mix in some goat or sheep cheese, though, for a slightly sharper taste.

the rest of dinner was leftovers... we sauteed the previous night's green beans with butter and leftover broccoli. YUM!
