So last year, I attempted to change the demonic snowflake tree topper from a red demonic flake to a blue one. Well . . . apparently mini bulbs are *not* all the same. It let off a loud bang, fizzled, sparked, and then the smoke started. Needless to say, we got rid of it.




I couldn't remember if I'd ordered a topper last year or not. So I didn't pick one up this year until we got the tree out and I saw that we didn't have one. So I ordered one--it arrived today. It's just a simple silvertone plastic star with white and blue LEDs which snap back and forth.

My child looked at it tonight and said, "Hey, that star is like Sirius! It blinks!"

Dude. I need to get him dumbed down or I will *never* survive his teenage years.

Yeah, I loved the purple lights, but they had green wires and *that* drove me nuts during the day. If you click through the second pic, you can see the no-flash version and read the saga of why this year's tree also makes me twitch. ;)
