Tom plays with a group which does kirtan.

They had a show a couple days ago at a local venue. Ronan and I went (I was hoping to hear a few songs from the headlining taqwacore bands before we left, but they were super late to arrive and things did not go according to schedule) and played "crash tractor bus!" in an adjacent room, where we could see and hear everything.

There was a guy there filming or taping the show and he put a vid up on youtube. Here you have proof that explodingcat does, indeed, play his grandmother's accordion.

That was a really fun show. I liked the live version of hare ram much better than the one on the CD. Not sure why, some harmony during the "jay jay haruman" part? Anyway, that was a good time.

... seriously, Jos, can you explain this to me? Because I keep getting invited, and... I... get repeatedly promoting something over and over in hopes *someone* will come to your event, but my mind is failing to understand why I'm invited or... you know... just... um... what this is?? YOU ARE MY ONLY HOPE FOR EXPLAINING THIS WITHOUT MY INADVERTENTLY HURTING SOMEONE'S FEELINGS. I'm not even sure if it's actually in... Hindi or something, or if it's all made up words.

I wish I knew less club promoters on Facebook; people are like "Don't you feel special to be included?" and I'm like "No, no... bordering on resentful, actually..." since I get, you know, about fifteen invites a week. :P



But I think this is like guided meditation -- so far out of my purview that my mind is literally stalling out trying to understand it. PLEASE. PARSE IT IN TERMS I CAN UNDERSTAND?
