Ronan's diet

I use nutritional yeast on greens, popcorn, pasta . . . and since Ronan won't eat cheese, but likes savory flavors, I add it to his brown rice.

Well lately, he's been requesting it:

"yeast on not dog."
"yeast. apphmm sauce?"
"yeast. onions."

Yes. My kid. He eats yeast flakes on anything. Hot dogs, applesauce, dried green onions.

And just now . . . "yeast tings?"

wow. Tings with extra yeast. Yum.

Yeast is good. Honestly, it is one of the main flavorings in many mainstream savory snack (like doritos).

Your kid eats dried green onions? :P Do you dehydrate them yourself?

I could dehydrate them, but I buy the Just Tomatoes version via co-op. I keep them on hand for making quick dip mixes and whatnot.

Ronan found them one day and wanted to try them. He was around 12mo, so Tom gave him some, figuring Ronan would get mad and leave that cabinet alone.

Now we know better. Ronan's favorite snacks include dried green onions and peppercorns.

Nutritional yeast is awesome. AAWWWESOME. He would probably love the vegan mac n' cheez I make (except you'd need to make it with rice milk or almond milk instead of soy milk).
