rootofnewtlast night i was just about to jump into the shower when a very large spider decided to jump out at me. it was terrifying... if i hadn't screamed and jumped back, i'd have been victim of its gnashing mandibles. it's long, lean tan and brown striped body moved across the floor in spurts, sometimes ambling with its shorter feeler legs/antennae, sometimes scrambling quickly with it's long and terrifying legs.
my scream woke boy. he came in and captured it, then took it outside.
i was frozen solid until he came into the bathroom. i can handle the nickel-size black spiders when they're not near me, but this spider was larger than a dollar coin (legspan, body alone was the size of a nickel, if a nickle were elongated). SCARY.
we have a good arrangement. i liberate crickets, he ushers out spiders.Ï
