Long day and it's not yet sundown.

Got in late last night, but we'd made good time. We just didn't leave C'ville til 8pm. I think we're getting too old for trips like that.

Slept in today--even Ronan slept in til 9am! I didn't actually sleep in, but 8:30 is better than 7:30.

Today was spent at Ikea and Whole Foods. We picked up a toy box for Ronan and replaced some household items (mouse-chewn wooden utensils, extra measuring spoons, a couple wetbags). The mouse-chewn utensils will become dye tools. The new ones will need a few oily rubdowns before they're suitable, but that's fine.

WFM was a madhouse. I mean, 3:30-5pm on a Saturday was nuts of me, but I've not eaten all day and needed safe-for-me food. I got a horrid runaround from three departments (including customer service) over where to find flavored syrups for coffee and I finally gave up and bought ice cream topping caramel, which was awesome in my very tardy latté.

FiL is downstairs making supper. MiL and explodingcat are down there, too. Ronan and I are up here, where he has just nursed and is now napping. Maybe I'll nap, too.

Ack! I just realised that when rereading your post, and I was like, "Wait, left Charlottesville." I saw Charlottesville, Whole Foods, and shopping and thought, "Oh, home."

has a lovely sugar-free gingerbread syrup that you can buy by the bottle. Only about $3.50!

No idea who wrote this, but I don't do sugar-free. Splenda makes the baby sick. The other artificial sweeteners make *me* sick. And I like the syrups from WFM because they don't contain additives that make me ache.
