I haven't really posted many milestones for Ronan, I suppose I should.

He can now sit up on his own, as the video shows, but he thinks falling back is the best thing ever. So he tips over with a huge grin on his face. He does occasionally lean over to attempt to grab a toy, ending up on his belly, which is the worst thing ever. He's not so keen on that. I have an extra Ikea mattress (foam) that I keep out in the front room for this tipsy turvy time (and naptime--maybe I won't be stuck in the bedroom forever!).

Jericho is the coolest thing on the planet. Ronan giggles non-stop when his feet are getting licked. I realize that he'll be licking back sooner than I think.

He blew me a raspberry last night in the car, then laughed when I looked shocked (I was).

He's repeated a sign back to us now, too. Ceiling fan, of course. His version is his fist raised in the air, waving slightly. It's really cute. One of his favorite games is Talk To Mr. Ceiling Fan. And if Mr. Ceiling Fan turns on and off in response, the urchin is delighted.

The trash talking to his toys continues. He hasn't yelled at the dog lately, though. His directed angry/frustrated babble amuses me because the look of intent on his face is so serious, then breaks into a full grin when I walk over and pick him up.

I left him in with [livejournal.com profile] explodingcat this morning (couldn't sleep). I hear urchin babbling away now. Perhaps I should go rescue his father.

All I keep saying is that I miss those days so much. Because I *do*. And since no one seems moving towards making me a grandmother anytime soon, I will just have to be content with the updates of my friends with babies. And that's okay, really (I am *not* making mewing grandma noises at my kids :)).

Anyway, I *miss* those days!

That's so cute! I wish I could hear him haranguing his toys. My friend [livejournal.com profile] coyotemama's baby Kai is learning to talk, and she jabbers at you very forcefully, with inflections and hand gestures - she wants so badly to tell you something, she just can't use actual words. It's fascinating.
