This is what I get for shopping at a warehouse store . . .

Week before last, I noticed jeans at Sam's. I found a pair of 515, stretch, just-below-the waist, bootcut, faded blue jeans. I bought them.

Today, I went to check my back pocket. They'd ripped along the pocket seam. *Grrr*

They're not too small--if anything, they're slightly loose. I'll see if Sam's will take a return. They've been washed once, worn several days for the last two weeks.

These weren't marked irregular or anything. I'm irritated.

Also, my sneakers (New Balance 620, black) are ripping apart along the seams. They're not that old, either, and I bought them at an actual NB elite store. Grrrr. Okay, maybe they're two years old. But still. Grrrr.

Sam's is owned by the Waltons. 'Nuff said. (I won't shop anywhere they have anything to do with...not only because of their horrible business practices and treatment of their workers and the harm they've done to mom-and-pop businesses everywhere, but also because most of the stuff they sell is substandard quality.)

True enough. It would be nice if other places sold Prilosec affordably (when it comes to medication I have few qualms about finding the cheapest price). And it would be nice if anyone else in town sold petite boot-cut stretch jeans this week.

That said, the quality at Sam's is much better than Walmart.

grumbly grumble grumble. I'd be equally annoyed. particularly with Levi's, which have quite a reputation for quality. I wear mine until they fall apart at the seams, which usually takes 5+ years.

I tend to buy mine from the Levi's outlet instead of Sam's (not bias since I have a membership at sams) but because my Sam's never carries petites. I also have a love for the just-below-the-waist bootcuts, don't remember if it's the 515, but that sounds about right. WHY DOESN'T ANYONE EVER STOCK THEM IN PETITE?????

Yep. Sam's had a 10petite, which is what I wear (though I seem to be slimming into an 8P soon--these are all somewhat baggy).

Goody's in C'ville sometimes stocks petite. I need to find a Levi's outlet once R starts enjoying the car. Of course, now that I know that I pretty much always fit Levi's in the right size/rise, I can start ordering online and keeping an eye out for sales.

Our Sam's had 4P and 6P when I was there, though I snagged the only 10P.

I bought a pair of New Balance sneakers a few months ago and I now consider them to be my ratty old painting and working in the yard sneakers instead of my 3 year old Skechers. I won't be buying NB's again. :\
