Ronan developed a nasty looking rash, so I took him into the ped today. I was pretty sure it was erythema toxicum, and I was right, but I needed reassurance. Ped asked if I have sensitive skin. I snorted, he then actually looked at me, smiled, and said--just expect him to have ALL the baby rashes.

He's gained eight ounces since Friday! Also had another heelstick. I shouldn't have had him stuck at MJH, because he was less than 24hrs old. I wasn't thinking. Metabolic disorders are serious, so I readily acquiesced to a second test. After the nurse wrapped his foot for 15 minutes of warming, I nursed him into a milk stupor. I'm sure the stick was a rude awakening, but he bore up well.

Afterward, he got grandma time while dad took me out to take care of shopping. The nursing tops at Motherhood don't fit me, so I bought some Lilypadz with the giftcard I still have. My OMGWTFBBQthisishugecannotbemysize nursing bra is too tight, so if I let down while wearing it, I soak through the heavy flannel nursing pads fast. These might just do the trick.

My maternity jeans (old navy under the belly) are getting loose, even with a bella band, They're stretch, so I'll dry them hotter than usual, see if they stay up. They're seriously comfy--I should see if they still sell them and go down a size, though they have no front pockets.

I'll begin using the acronyn NAK--nursing at keyboard. Means I'm one handed, like now. Typos may increase, punctation may lapse.

And I want to make a smart remark about the one-handed typing, but I'm paralyzed by the choice.

When I met gremlin44 she had me let myself in to her house. I found her upstairs nursing Kevin and typing on the keyboard. I think she got pretty good at NAKing, and I bet you do, too.

eBay may have yer pants at a reasonable price. If you look for NWT (new with tag, in case you are unfamiliar with the eBay clothing terminology:), you can eliminate some of the things that may cause you problems.

The soaking through gets better as your bewbies get used to being milk makers. It only happens to me now if I'm WAY overdue for pumping while I'm at school.

It is too bad that you are allergic to wool...wool nursing pads hold what seems like gallons without even a hint of a leak. Cotton flannel ones don't hold squat...If you can get some made from hemp fleece, they tend to hold alot more. I had power gushes, not simple leaks of boobmilk, so Lilypads didn't help much until we got to about 18mo and his breastfeeding habits left my supply much lessened (thus leaking was limited to a couple drops here and there)

I need to get my booty to the post office...Ronan will outgrow the one outfit I got him if I don't get it to you soon!! Plus he should be getting big enough to fit the diapers I got for him.
