After being uncomfortably warm most of the day, I finally came and hid in the bedroom, where I'm running the small window AC. We've been running it during the afternoons/evenings and shutting it off at night, when the temperature drops. This allows us to have a cool bedroom most of the night. When the nighttime temps start warming up, we'll be running it fulltime.

I refuse to plug in the big one just yet. It's about 80F in the main part of the house, a little cooler outside. Tomorrow's high is forecast to be a much more springlike 59F, which I will enjoy with exuberance and glee.

I bought myself a turntable with my birthday money. It came today. I'm quite happy to be dusting off the vinyl again. I recently scored a metric shit-ton of opera off of freecycle, so boy is just as enamored of the turntable as I am.

I called the fire department today and left a message requesting an appointment for carseat installation. Boy called Nature Neutral and ordered more paint. I didn't go to the pool as I normally do--too slug-like.

I should strip the bed. I forgot to do washing yesterday. Must do it today. I should probably replace the charcoal prefilter on the bedroom enviracaire, too. I imagine it's due.

I've cooled off a bit. The poodle is no longer panting. He looks like he'd like to go and check up on boy . . . and appears likely to lick my feet to get me moving.

The fire department installs car seats? I thought they were just buckle-in things?

There are certified child seat techs who can make sure seats are installed properly. there's a base for my seat which must be securely installed. And since the bench seat of the crown vic is kinda loose, I'd like a pro to look at it.
