This is not appropriate weather.
Nov. 28th, 2006 09:52 pmI'm ready for snow.
Theses 60+ degree days are just insane for late November. I'd probably enjoy them more if I didn't have asthma making my life miserable (and my grasp on life tenuous). Once the drugs get back in my bloodstream (no thanks to my insurance company), I'll be able to go outside and enjoy the weather. By "enjoy", I mean do yardwork and shrubbery removal and poodle entertaining.
Until then, I'd like snow. And I'd like snow after the fact, too. In fact, I'd like snow ALL WINTER LONG. I want huge drifts of snow. I can see mountains from my porch and my deck, I want to see snow on them.
Yes, I know I live in Virginia. I still want snow. Do I need to go taunt a volcano into erupting so that we get a mini ice age?
My friends out west have been taunting me. It's about time y'all started sharing. Now.

Date: 2006-11-29 03:07 am (UTC)It's been snowing here off and on since noon, it's been steady and sticking since 5:00 pm. :)
It's a bit unusual that this is the first snow we've had this month. I think we average about 15 inches of snow in November, which is our second snowiest month. We usually get the most snow in March.

Date: 2006-11-29 03:36 am (UTC)Apartment hunting tonight, I was walking across a rooftop deck with a 360 degree view of the city crunching on snow. That rocked.

Date: 2006-11-29 04:01 am (UTC)Of course, you guys might get more snow in general than we do out here near Richmond, but I know that out this way it's been *far* too long since we had a real winter with snow and ice and stuff.
Everything around here closes at the drop of a hat. But the hat won't drop! Please to be making with the snow already!
