[livejournal.com profile] quasigeostrophy, I can't wait until you start speaking meteorese:
.NOW...
RAIN SHOWERS ACROSS NORTHERN VIRGINIA...THE PAN HANDLE OF WEST
VIRGINIA AND MARYLAND...THE WASHINGTON AND BALTIMORE METRO AREAS
AND ADJACENT WATERS OF THE POTOMAC RIVER AND CHESAPEAKE BAY ARE
EXPECTED TO BECOME LIGHTER AND MORE ISOLATED IN NATURE AS THE
OVERNIGHT PROGRESSES.

I've become more isolated in nature, but I thought I could blame that on hormones :)

Ah, my favorite time of night: overnight progression. I can smell it.

Oy. Where do these people go to school? Purdue requires a year of english and a semester of speech, but I don't remember all the requirements elsewhere. NOAA requires a certain meteorology course sequence but I don't think they have the language skills requirements.

In a way, it makes me glad I already have the humanities degree going into this. :-)
