your dog is so wonderful that i've already enlisted my brother to steal her away and bring her to me, i just didn't want you to realize how much i love her, so i wouldn't be on the list of suspects....

drat.

shoot. scratch THOSE plans.

anyhow, the reason i linked that pup was because she's so happy to be wearing a service backpack. i was just indirectly trying to spotlight the value and use of service dogs for invisible illnesses, like cfids. you wouldn't BELIEVE the trouble some of my friends who aren't wheelchair bound or blind have with their service dogs. these dogs are allowed in restaurants, stores, etc, but because my friends are deaf, epileptic, or have CFIDS, folks assume they have no use for such a canine employee and try to bar service or even play with the dog.

now, there are many explanations for a seemingly non-differently-abled person with a guide dog... the aforementioned (seizure disorders, deafness, cfids/fibro) and training folks sometimes do it. :)

OK then

I suppose I can forgive your oversight this once then. However, my dog is not without her helpful, service-oriented traits. After all, she makes sure the kitchen floor is completely cleaned of all food particles. She apparently knows that food left lying around is an invitation to rodents and insects. She's so good to us.

And she's always willing to offer massive amounts of fur for me to safisfy my every whim... ;)

There's just no end to the services she provides.
