uh, oh, it's october.
Oct. 1st, 2005 01:47 pmMy parents will be here in a few days.
Panic cleaning mode is now in full effect.
Things that won't get done:
I'm taking a break--mopping a kitchen floor is hard work. Most of the bathroom got cleaned yesterday. The tub could use a light scrubbing, the toilet will be scrubbed the day they arrive (again--I do keep up on that), but the sink should be good for a week. The floors need doing in there, but they're tile and full of hair and it takes me forever to sweep all the nooks and crannies.
I think I'll tackle the laundry next, piecemeal. Sort in the office (no point in doing that floor til the laundry is sorted), then take loads to and from the laundry room while I do other things and take breaks. I'm praying for a rainstorm this week (to little avail) so that I can get the deck in order. Without rain, the mosquitoes kill me. I got two bites today and need my meds again. Damn bugs. Maybe I should get some citronella lamp oil to put in the tiki lamps that came with the house. Cheaper than bags of dry ice. It'll make me sick, too, but not as sick as mosquitoes do.
I also have 200+ bulbs to plant. Those can wait. I just need to put them someplace cool.
