$*(*$*#)$#)
We attempted to remove the old moldy air conditioner. Apparently, the previous owner managed to FIT 1/2" particleboard/plywood *around* the unit. We can't pull it in or out, we have to remove the damn fake wall. We were hoping to retain this wood, but the only way I see fit to do this involves a hammer and a crowbar.
*sigh*
I wonder if I have any friends who *like* this sort of thing who could be bribed with alcohol and food.
I'll also have to go to Lowe's to buy wood. If I didn't *need* to do that, I'd bust the damn thing out of the wall *now*.
So now my eyes, ears, and throat are burning horribly. I'm going to go shower this nasty mold off of my poor, AC-deprived body.

Date: 2005-06-26 05:24 am (UTC)About a half a lifetime ago, knowing I have a fondness for Art Deco era antiques, a rather shady character offered to sell me a .45 caliber Thompson machine gun. I sometimes wish I had bought it. It would be perfect for a project like this.
