Our car is in need of repair. Right front brake making odd noises. Finley's can look at it on Monday. That's not so bad, considering I called Wednesday night and I have no idea if they're even *working* on Friday. They don't have mechanics in on Sat or Sun, so at most, that's *one* business day--that's actually remarkably quick service for end-of-the-month.
Anyhow, we can't drive it.
I've solicited a ride to check in on the cats on the hill tomorrow. (thanks,
nannar!)
However . . . boy is quite sick. He's been (dry) coughing, but now his tonsils are all swollen up and starting to get spotty. He doesn't smell of strep at all, but he's very weary. I've not shown any sign of whatever he's got and he's had the cough for a couple days.
He's already had mono and hasn't really seemed to have chronic EBV issues, so I'm not worried about that. His tonsils are very, very red and much larger than usual. I think he needs to see a doctor and he agrees.
Anyhow, if he can get a doctor's appointment tomorrow, is there anyone who would be available to give him a ride? Actually, even if he can't get an appt with the uva family medicine clinic, we *will* have to take him to an urgent care clinic. He's miserable.
In addition, our net access has been very, very iffy. A phone call would be great and if you're local, you should have it. Otherwise, check my memories.
Boy should be awake after 9 or 10am, but don't be afraid to call. Please. With sugar on top. I'll feed you wild rice pilaf and cranberry salad.
