DC with brother, Turk Mountain
Oct. 8th, 2004 06:43 pmWe stole my brother when he was in Chantilly a couple weeks ago and took him to the Brickskeller. Here, you can see him.
lluk is the crazy man.
Last Sunday, boy and I climbed Turk Mountain.
He took a picture of some very well behaved Virginia Creeper while I rested.
I have no idea if he's examining a bug, caterpillar, or lichen.
After taking this picture, I told him I looked impish and he looked long-suffering. His reply? "You are impish."
The summit of Turk is lichen-covered quartzite. The view of the Shenandoah Valley is lovely. It amuses me that the view was better on a stormy day than it is on a typical hazy summer day.
He surprised me with a drinking song he wrote for me. He didn't realize it was a drinking song until he started singing it. It was quite appropriate. He also replaced our stunt double wedding rings with lovely titanium rings. I have no idea how he socked away the money.
