do i get multiple takes in this life?
Feb. 19th, 2002 05:58 pmi'm so sick of this.
saw the cardiac surgeon today. she thinks that the cyst is bronchogenic or bronchoenteric, not pericardial. she thinks the pericardial effusion was just a coincidence. the cyst is still there, but (very) slightly smaller. not sure what to think.
my doctor talked to both the surgeon and the pulmonologist in the last 24 hours and they all decided i need to be evaluated by a thoracic surgeon.
meanwhile, i'm sitting here amidst all this talk of needling the cyst, biopsies, bronchoscopies, surgery... and i'm thinking, "whoa... could we look at less invasive ways of examining exactly where this cyst is... say... a thoracic MRI?"
i just prefer to use the less intrusive means before i have needles stuck into tender areas. the thought of a needle being stuck THROUGH my trachea (from the inside) into the cyst really squicks me. and i really don't want the more invasive means of biopsying the cyst... not yet, anyway. they don't even know WHAT the damn thing is attached to... why go in only to find that it CANNOT be removed b/c it's connected to too many things?
needle. trachea.
ew. ew ew ew
i'm not in pain anymore, i just have a constant "pill stuck in throat" feeling.
gah.
