i don't celebrate valentine's day. i try to avoid being out in public, when possible, since public spots tend to be overrun with stinkiness and flowers. i don't like fancy jewelry and fancy chocolates are usually full of soy scum. it's not really my day and has often ruined my birthday in the past by making me sick from all the stinkiness and flowers.

i need to do some grocery shopping. i really hope that fresh fields isn't flooded with roses. the normal flowers are bad enough. allergies suck.

i'm going to go visit a friend and her two daughters, one of whom is newborn. that should be nice. :)

first, i need to call my grandmother. my grandpa died six years ago today. she needs comfort today.

sympathy to your grandmother. i think it makes it especially difficult if your husband dies on a "special" day. my grandfather died on christmas morning, which was sad.

yeah, i have a fridge with various half-eaten soy-free choccy bars. there's really no point in buying more for today. there's only one brand i can buy around here, anyway... well, until passover. then i can buy plenty.

of course, a very good friend bought me a couple bars for the winter holidays... i was actually *out* then and she bought a flavor i hadn't tried yet... that was cool. :)

i can't believe that was 6 years ago...geez.
oh, and happy set people on fire day. i've had a rough one as more people are interested in why i don't celebrate the "other" day...it's depressing. i avoided lunch with the group today because one of the guys who is whipped so much he actually sounds like a woman needed to buy his little sweetie some presents. presents = very expensive diamond/platimum shit she needs to show her female friends that her fiance REALLY loves her...i hate it.
