i bought blue leopard print fleece at joann's yesterday because it was on sale and i want to make a housedress/robe out of it. the next time simplicity goes on sale for 99 cents, i'll buy the robe/housedress pattern i want. 18 bucks for fabric is cheaper than paying 50 bucks for one at Penney's, even on sale. i'd make it from an altered dress pattern I have, but i need a pattern when i use zippers and i will be using a zipper for this one.

i also bought the mccall's pattern i'd be waiting for a sale on (99 cents!). it's a formal/wedding pattern, but includes a lace overdress pattern. my own lace overdress is ratty and worn and i'd like a new one. so now i can make one the next time *nice* stretch lace is on sale.

i wore my planet-print fleece dress and legwarmers yesterday because i wanted silly and comfortable clothing. yes, that's last year's halloween costume. i also wore tie-dyed pink tights and over-the-knee black socks. and my hair was in pigtails. if i could still find *that* print, i'd use it to make a housedress. alas, i can't find it these days. is okay, i like the blue leopardprint.

i took a tylenol3, which is what the doctor gave me last time. i don't hoard meds, really... i just rarely take all the pain pills i'm prescribed (because they don't work *that* well, i hate the side effects, and i hate taking meds which aren't effective) and i rarely throw stuff away.. it just lands in the cupboard for awhile until I see it and realize it's ancient and taking up room and should be thrown away. and i feel guilty for taking them when they haven't been prescribed this time, but hey... it seems like the same damn thing, why not? prescription strength naproxen has had no effect. the T3 has made breathing marginally less painful, but it still hurts to move. codeine really doesn't treat my pain that effectively. i'm calling the doctor. i think he's going to come to the conclusion that my immune system has decided to treat major allergens with a rousing bout of costochronditis. *sigh*

I want pictures when you're done with that :-)

Hope the pain eases up some. *gently hugs*

i'll bet that your housedress/robe ends up being very cute. you should make yourself a scrunchie for your hair to go with it...so's you'll be doublecute.

i hope that your doctor has some good drugs to help with the pain that you are having. i'm assuming that a heating pad doesn't help you at all?

I really hope you're able to find something that helps with the pain. I'm the same with meds. I don't mean to horde them. I just rarely take them for the exact reasons you mentioned.
