home again..

rootofnewtthey let me leave the hospital this morning.. i left with orders to call a few different doctors, fill some prescriptions, and rest for the next couple weeks.
tried to fill the prescriptions on the way home, but the wait was 45 min, and i'm way too tired for that.
once we got on 270, we noted the black clouds north and west of us... boy commented that he felt weird driving into something so ominous. i just told him those were thundersnow clouds... a couple miles later, the storm him. 40mph wind, driving snow mixed with a little ice and rain, very low visibility. boy managed to get the car home.
once inside, i sat down to make some calls... made some lunch. he ate his breakfast. the snow stopped and the half-inch on the ground melted. then we got in the car to take him to work. i realized i was too sick and tired to drive all the way back home (25 mins, but i was exhausted), so he stopped at a metro station between bethesda and rockville. i drove home from there, nearly falling asleep at the wheel. that scares me. i had to get home, though.
now i'm home. my stomach is still upset, so i'm not in bed yet, but i will be soon.
i still need my prescriptions, but they'll have to wait until boy comes home tonight.
and i know i should take a painkiller, but with my tummy upset, i don't really want to. i said i was gonna take a shower and wash my hair, but i think i'm just going to go to bed.
bed is good. my OWN bed is the best. :)
