(no subject)

i desperately want to read, catch up on things, etc, but it's too hard to focus two eyes on paper, screen, etc. and when i close one eye so i can at least focus, the open eye wants to sleep, too.

so i think i'm just going to try to cool off (no fever, it's just HOT in here) and stare into space.

fil and tom brought me lebanese food for dinner tonight. yum. was good. potato-leek soup, pressed halloum sandwich, baba ganouj, baklava... okay, i saved the baba because i got full and because the restaurant forgot to add pita. boy is off at fresh fields buying more oatmeal for tomorrow, he's gonna pick up some corn chips for me to eat with the baba.

mmm, eyes want to close. must rest.

hospital hot and noisy right now. dunno how i'll sleep.

ashbet, her boy, and Aspartame came to visit me, too. that was cool. :) they're like family to me, so i don't mind having them see me like this. and fil--well, we've practically lived together (he and tom did live together), so he IS family.

fil took pics of me with my cyborg tubes. he's going to send them to my parents, demanding ransom before he takes another kidney. teehee.

i love my friends. so much love and support when i need it. in all their different ways. it's wonderful.

I'm so glad to hear that it all seems to be going well, all things considered. I know you must be really tired and feel like total drek, I appreciate you taking the time to post and let us know how you are. Will be thinking of you in my meditations tonight. (Lebanese food, have never had it...hmm.....)
