a heads up
Feb. 2nd, 2002 06:31 ami'm sitting in my bed, trying not to nod off (turned on puter b/c i couldn't sleep).
i'm safe and sound... every four hours, i get to beg for pain relief. rather demoralizing, that. the nurses keep trying to give me percocet (gives me severe insomnia, which they don't believe) or darvocet (does not touch the pain my my chest--hello, two tubes in my chest).
boy is here. he can't sleep... poor thing. i think i'll have someone come get him and takehim home later. maybe a carles friend.
anyhow, i'm all foggy headed.
the procedure took 30 min, i was the OR for just under 1.5 hours. the nurses gave me 14 mg of morphine in recovery until they realized that it was not working. only me. sheesh. so they gave me something else (starts with an L).
gotta go, can't keep eyes open.
i love all my friends. they are so amazing.
