Nov. 13th, 2003 04:34 pmToday we went flyering. It was just three of us--
xiane,
briskpepper, and myself. We managed to hit UVA and downtown, which was good. I warmed up at their house for a bit afterward, then came home, where boy made me a lovely garlic-potato-fennel mash.
Anyhow, I wasn't terribly cold while we were flyering, despite the very cold wind. Our wind's been between 15 and 35 mph all day and the temperature hasn't been much above 50F. Needless to say, I appear to have caught a chill in my bones. My joints and bones are *aching*, though I'm not terribly cold. Some weather sites claim our wind is sustained from 35mph down to 20 later tonight, with gusts of up to 60mph. It was less noisy during the hurricane, as boy said an hour ago.
My new shoes have a moisture wicking "air conditioning" system built in. I've discovered that this means my feet get very cold. This doesn't make them too comfy a lot of the time. By the way--for those who wondered, my shoes are "Stonefly" brand.
