Art in Place

rootofnewtCharlottesville has a program (http://www.artinplace.org/ or something like that) whereby sculpture gets erected around town. Some of it is nice... the tree, the fish, the weird kinetic sculpture on Emmett. Some of it... well, let's just say it isn't aesthetically pleasing.
Someone... or some two, I should say, saw fit to dress up one of these sculptures for Hallowe'en.
I'll let the guilty ones out themselves...

Well, it's certainly an adequate expression of the way I feel upon normally seeing that work...
In other news, here's a pic of the crazy chenille I bought to make into legwarmers. I stopped at Joann's today to check the washing instructions... cold water, delicate cycle, lay flat to dry.
The kids seem to be about done. We didn't get a lot, but we've gone through nearly one big bag of smarties and two bags of sweet tarts.
