Date: 2003-10-05 04:11 pm (UTC)I wanted to study Russian in High School so I could converse with my grandmother, but my mother wouldn't let me. She said it was too hard.
Unfortunately, that was her take on everything; her kids were substandard, so they should never, ever try. More unfortunately, I believed her for a very long time.
