Sep. 25th, 2003 10:06 pmthe kitchen floor is scrubbed clean.
i had the urge to do it... it needed it... i'd been planning it for a week or so.
but i didn't realize how much of a workout it would be again... but it's done. it's no longer as gray as it was... any dusty gooey bits have been cleaned up. it's nice.
computerchix--i'm just cleaning, i'm not actually putting anything away. ;) don't worry, i'm not going to *too* much effort, but i wouldn't be a midwesterner if i didn't *clean* before guests arrive.
grabbed
solieri and dragged him with us to the Scottsville Farmer's market. very low turnout there, but we scored some green tomatoes (already fried and eaten), green peppers, arugula-garlic goat cheese, and strawberry sorbet (eaten before we got 10 miles). we stopped in Esmont for boy to get fried chicken, then went home the long way in an attempt to *not* get the guys motion sick...
anyhow, it was fun. i like spending time with patrick. he's a sweetie. i hope his new job turns out well.
boy has ben watching Most Extreme Elimination Challenge for the last two hours, off and on. he took a break to sweep the kitchen, move everything out, take out the trash, and kill mildew. he's a sweetie. still, though, he likes this show... of course he likes this show. it's asinine.

Date: 2003-09-25 09:30 pm (UTC)Hell, I love spending time with you two. There's just a warmth. . . a comfort involved. It's like this vibe where I can always feel safe, both from the outside and safe enough to totally be myself around the both of you. I never feel like I have to "perform," I don't feel judged, and, I dunno. . . I just feel at home. Not to mention that you've shown me the joy of Farmer's Markets, for which I shall be eternally grateful. . .
