rootofnewtso... the power went down around 5:30pm... came back at 2am, with a few flickers and dark spots. i was awake for some reason, despite having gone to bed earlier. around 3am, i discovered that i hadn't taken my evening medicine, including my melatonin. my wee pills were lined up on the kitchen table where i'd left them while brushing my teeth.
anyhow... during the storm, while the power was out, it was preternaturally glowy out. there appeared to be a slight orange glow to the north, presumably generator-driven light at the hospital. but it was odd how much i *could* see with no street lights anywhere nearby.
it's still a bit wet and blustery. lots of leaves and branches down. the cable's out, so boy is dialed in to work. if anyone local wants to call me, you have my cell phone number. if you *don't* have my cellphone number, just stop by or message boy. i might want to go out for a drive, so if you'd like to join, you could comment here or message boy.
i took a hot bath last night, made cocoa and popcorn and devilled eggs... ate leftover bhaji and dal. it was a decent night. :)
i'm giving boy his puter back now.
