rootofnewtthe first halfway decent snowfall of the season (keep in mind i live in the practically sub-tropical DC-area and have learned to accept a few paltry inches)...
and i'm too sick to go outside. the cooler air does soothe my lungs a little, but i really shouldn't be out there yelling, screaming, and making snowballs. i have to conserve my energy for fighting this damn infection.
nor should i be walking a few blocks from the car or metro stop to a church. this means i'm missing the wedding of two friends.

boy went, so he can see everyone and convey my apologies.
but, darnit... one of our old roomies (three, actually, but the one in question moved to SF a few months ago) is gonna be there. and all of our local/college friends. so it's a really happy day for everyone.
*sigh*
