i think we're staying home, after all.

inflamed rib cartilage isn't terribly serious, it's just damn painful. i can safely do things, but at what cost to my emotional well-being?

i desperately want to see Hoven Droven. i love nordic music. i think this will have to fall by the wayside, though. there's a live webcast, which we can always watch.

the diclofenac the doctor gave me isn't helping much, either. riding in the car for an hour and a half,jumping on the metro, and walking to the kennedy center would likely make me rather uncomfortable.

*sigh*

maybe i should think about going up in *two* weeks for Old Blind Dogs... Scottish ceilidh music. i might be feeling better, so i wouldn't need to rely on boy for a ride, but could just come up to DC for the day, see a couple exhibits, see the band, have dinner, etc. Anyone up for that?

If I'm not working by then (knock on wood, polycarbonate resin, my own skull and anything else handy), I am so there! I saw OBD at Fado's with James (Aleksa's boy) prolly four and a half years ago. Very good show, even though I was deathly ill.

Gah, I am so sorry I didn't convey my condolences as to you being too ill to make the show tonight. I wish you had been able to make it, the dancing lesson and the show itself must have been killer.

I am sad I missed it, but am glad I found a car today, check my journal for the long (do I write anything but voluminous accounts of my life?) story. One thought: Red Ones Go Fasta (especially with 350 cubic inch 5.7 liter V8s) :)
