i hate having the hiccups
Aug. 21st, 2003 01:42 pmSo... today's an achy day. I've been overdoing it a lot lately.
Every day is achy, actually... today is just on the worse side of my base level of "in pain to the point of distraction"... right now i'm in pain a bit worse than that. I don't think I'll get to Joann's to buy the fabric I need, but it can wait another day. I can't sew like this, anyhow.
This damn dyshidrotic eczema on my hands is driving me nuts. If I don't use the kenalog ointment every single night, it pops back up. I don't want to use steroids forever, dammit. My doctor told me to keep using it if that prevents the stuff from recurring. *sigh*
I need to do dishes. This will make the eczema worse. I can't find a single pair of heavier vinyl gloves in a *small* anywhere in this damn town. It's hard enough to find the Med/Large sizes. Those fall off my hands and make it hard for me to handle dishes. I can't even find surgical vinyl or nitrile gloves in small sizes locally.
I need to clean out the fridge. I'd rather do this *after* the dishes are done, since this will generate more dishes, but if I wait, the fridge won't get cleaned out.
I have loads of tomatoes I need to pick. I'm hesitant to do so because of the mosquitoes. My neighbors are probably going to think I'm nuts if I go out there in a black butt-length veil, but I might do it anyhow. Who wants yellow grape tomatoes?
xiane?
red_frog? Anyone else?
mbickers?
nothingoth? Anyone?
solieri, do you and your mom like tomatoes?
Today is the farmer's market. Who wants to go to Scottsville with us?

Is ordering them an option? Or requesting one of the local stores to carry them?

Date: 2003-08-21 10:55 am (UTC)I've asked local stores to carry them. Without exception, every single store has said there's no market for them. I don't understand this... People *do* have small hands.
I could probably ask my doctor or his nurse if I could have a couple pair of the nurse's nitrile gloves the next time I visit. I know they're small because the nurse has to grapple with hers every time and she doesn't have large hands. ;)
I'll probably just break down and order them one day soon. I do need them, after all.
