so...

finally saw Pirates with [livejournal.com profile] red_frog and her sister.

yeah.

mmmm, pirates.

happy times.

afterwards, i wandered on the DT Mall til I found the flyering crew. i proceeded to just say "eyeliner" to boy for the next few minutes.

we finished flyering, then said goodbye. boy was thinking of going to do band stuff with patrick and chad, but he realized that it was almost 11pm, so he turned around and came home, where i pillaged him.

mmm, pirates.

Eyeliner and dark gray eyeshadow.

So--when do you think the movie based on the spinning teacups will come out?

Was it actually a good movie? I certainly had my doubts. But the eye candy...ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, the eye candy.

Pirates or the teacup one?

In the absence of the teacups, yes, you need to see Pirates. Fun. (And reasonably accurate, according to my ship-geek friends.)

That depends... do you like pirates?

Do you like Johnny Depp? in eyeliner? with dreads?

Do you like Orlando Bloom?

Do you like corsets and period attire and fetching lasses in nothing more than a chemise and bloomers?

Do you like Geoffrey Rush, Jonathon Pryce, and other assorted castmembers?

Do you like fun and can you tolerate viewing the undead?

It really was a *beautiful* film. I have some complaints about specific moments in the cinematography, but overall it was very nice. The balance between shadow and light were good, the colors were lush and contrasted nicely with the darker moments.

And the plot... well, it was surprisingly good--more than adequate.

but... really, all I need is Johnny Depp in eyeliner and I'm happy... so I was more than happy with this film.
